Writing Task 1: Writing an Email

Read the following information.

You recently made an online purchase and the product was not the same as the description on the website.

Write an email to the website support department in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:

  • What you purchased and when.
  • Exactly how it is different to the website description.
  • How you would like the company to fix the problem.

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to express a concern I have from the services of your company. On September 24, 2019, I purchased a smartphone at your website www.amaxxxon.ca; however, I have received the exact different order. I bought the Samsung S10 plus edition smartphone for my wife's birthday. According to the description on your website, it was supposed to have the a12-megapixel camera, retina security system, and 256gb storage. Unfortunately, it was not even close to what was described online. Instead, your company sent me the phone with poor camera quality and low on memory. Even though I called your sales department at 1800-765-456, but my issue remained unsolved. I request you to kindly look into this important matter. Either send me the replacement for the phone I have in possession or kindly refund me back the whole amount. I have an issue with this product only. Otherwise, the company has been providing excellent services since I started using it. Thank you for your consideration, Regards, Mark
