Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions

Read the following information.

You are working in a company, your company is planning to introduce new payment system. Company has sent out an opinion survey to know what is the preference of the employees.

Payment schedule survey:

Option A: Monthly payments: Company will pay at the end of the month.
Option B: Daily payments: All employees will be paid on daily basis.

To whom it may concern. Lately, the company's frequency of payment has been a polemic topic between employees. Many people thus believe that getting paid daily is beneficial. Nonetheless, others think it is simpler to receive their payments by the end of each month. While employees are undoubtedly based on many emotional arguments, I disagree that the company's better payment timing is daily; because it is more complex and unnecessary. Given that employees rely on their monthly income to settle their monthly bill payments, it comes to logic that they would have to wait several days to accumulate the amount necessary to make those payments. Consequently, there is no need to receive a tiny portion per day. It simply would not bring any advantage. Furthermore, a daily frequency would bring more workload to the company. Not only would the accounting team be overwhelmed, but the quantity of these unjustified daily transactions would increase the company's running cost. Moreover, it would be equally harder for employees to control and track several transfers in their bank accounts. To sum up, there is no concrete reason to make the payments per day. It would certainly make everyone's life more complicated. Regards, Tony
