Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
Your city traffic department is conducting a survey to bring in revolutionary changes in the traffic management. The department has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents feel about the given options
Traffic Management Survey :
Option A: Department should issue more tickets with heavy plenties.
Option B: Department should Organise traffic awareness programmes on a regular basis.
To whom it may concern, I appreciate the opportunity given to me to share my opinion regarding options being considered by the city to revolutionize traffic management. So naturally, I will support option B, which talks about traffic awareness programs regularly. When people are getting their driving license, their priority is to get one and might not grasp all the rules and regulations they are supposed to know. Traffic awareness programs will help drivers to become more responsible drivers. Awareness programs will project a friendly image of the city traffic department. Making people aware of the consequences of carelessness or breaking the laws will encourage them to become good drivers. Awareness programs will also educate people benefits of being a responsible driver, and one of those benefits will be lower insurance premiums if there are lesser claims payouts. Issuing tickets with heavy plenties can send the wrong message and might not bring the desired changes. I support heavy plenties for repeat offenders. I will support the decision made by the traffic management department. Regards Thomas
