Writing Task 1: Writing an Email

Read the following information.

You had recently ordered a book, online from a bookseller. The book sent by him was not the latest edition, even though you had paid the money according to the latest edited version.

Write an email to the bookseller in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:

  • Complain about service of the online site
  • State about the urgency for the latest edition

Dear sir, I am writing this letter to concern about my disappointment with my last purchase from your site Beebooks.com. I ordered that book for preparing for my competitive exam, which is going to held last month of November. I ordered the "fundamental Engineering'' 2020 version, which launched last month; however, the book I received is "fundamental Engineering'' 2005 version. I ordered the book three months before my exam to clear the exam with a higher grade. The book supposed to deliver to me in one week only but it took four weeks. Moreover, the book is not correct. How unprofessional is that? To resolve my issue, I would suggest you send a new version before the end of next week to prepare for my exam. Once I receive the book, I will send this book back, and If I didn't get it by next week, I would claim a full refund by sending the book back. I am looking forward to seeing the response at the earliest. Regards, Tony
