Writing Task 1: Writing an Email

Read the following information.

You recently made an online purchase and the product was not the same as the description on the website.

Write an email to the website support department in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:

  • What you purchased and when.
  • Exactly how it is different from the website description.
  • How you would like the company to fix the problem.

Dear Support Department, I am writing this to express my dissatisfaction about a purchase made by me from your website. I purchased a 'Raaze' blue denim, size 32, on the 12th of May 2020. However, I received the denim on a priority notice (within one day), but in bad condition. The denim was ripped on the upper right side with a few stains of a red-coloured dye. The denim I ordered was light blue-coloured with no such design or ripped pattern. I have been your loyal customer for three years now, and this is the 6th time this kind of incident has taken place. I would like you to send me the denim I ordered on an immediate priority basis with a 30% discount due to the inconvenience caused. Also, it would be best if you arrange a delivery agent to pick up the wrong parcel sent to me, whenever you can. I hope this issue does not happen again and expect you to work on this issue according to my terms. Regards, Tony
