Writing Task 1: Writing an Email

Read the following information.

You recently made an online purchase and the product was not the same as the description on the website.

Write an email to the website support department in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:

  • What you purchased and when.
  • Exactly how it is different from the website description.
  • How you would like the company to fix the problem.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to discuss a problem regarding my online purchase. I purchased a T-shirt last week from your website, but I feel incredibly frustrated and disappointed after getting the stuff. I am an online shopper and usually buy a lot of cloth from your website. Unfortunately, this time the product came with lots of defects. The colour is different, I ordered a green colour one, but you have sent me a red one. Secondly, when I saw the shirt had long sleeve but I got a short sleeve one. Last but not least, the shirt seems like someone has already used this before. So I would like to request you that please refund my full money or send me the right one. Moreover, I would like you to check the product before sending it. One more thing, please concentrate on your service so that nobody will get upset. Otherwise, you would lose your valuable customer. Regards Fellix
