Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions

Read the following information.

You are working in a company offering IT services. Your company is conducting survey to know ways to improve working environment. There are two options :

Job satisfaction survey :

Option A:Give a salary hike to all the employees on the basis of experience.
Option B: Give a salary hike to all the employees on the basis of educational qualification.

To whom it may concern. I want to opine in approbation of providing salary increment to all the experienced employees considering various reasons. In the following paragraphs, I would elucidate and justify my choice. Conspicuously, experience staff is the backbone of any organisation and keep them motivated will reap a more significant benefit in the long run without any doubt. Moreover, what seems to be more convincing is that giving salary hike to these staff will help the company retain the skilled workforce and be a competitive advantage in the market. Additionally, this will be a big reward for vintage staff for their loyalty. How can one forget about the contribution of these staff which has a proven track record? A study published in a top management school shows that an old staff into the system can be more productive than any other staff. However, the other option seems unjustified as salary hikes based on educational qualification are very subjective. The person can be highly qualified, but it does not mean that he will be productive. Based on the above discussion we must reward vintage staff. Regards, Mike
