Writing Task 1: Writing an Email

Read the following information.

You recently made an online purchase and the product was not the same as the description on the website.

Write an email to the website support department in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:

  • What you purchased and when.
  • Exactly how it is different from the website description.
  • How you would like the company to fix the problem.

To whom it may concern, My name is Mark, and I am writing to complain about my recent purchase from your website with order number 22222. On Friday, May 18, 2021, I purchased wavy Brazilian hair from your eCommerce platform, but to my surprise, a straight fibre hair was delivered to my home address today. Going through your website, I stumbled on one of your models wearing the 26 inches wavy Brazillian hair, and I immediately fell in love with it. I read through the product description, and I was sure I was getting original hair. I find it deceptive and disappointing that the information given was intended to mislead customers into purchasing the hair. I'll appreciate it if a refund is made into my account or an exchange be made available to me. Also, creating a review link will be an excellent way to rate customer satisfaction which can also be a great decision-making tool for prospective buyers. I look forward to your prompt response.
