Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
Hostel management has decided to upgrade the security in and around the campus. The management has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents would like to have as new security measure.
You are residing in a College hostel :
Option A: New HD Night Vision Cameras covering the area around the hostel.
Option B: Installing biometric locks on the doors.
To whom it may concern In light of the recent muggings and thefts at our hostel premises, I am happy with the management's quick response to upgrade the security in and around the campus. This will help the residents of the hostel feel safe and secure and help this prestigious campus keep its recently sour image intact. I believe that installing new HD night vision cameras is the upgrade we need. From 2020, all of the muggings and thefts were done nighttime; therefore, the night vision feature will help. However, identifying the culprit has been a challenge as the recordings from the old cameras are very grainy and blurry. The new night vision HD cameras will aid us in identifying the culprit and will provide the security officer in the camera room with a clear view of the campus at all times. Moreover, the hostel and almost all the buildings at our university campus have an ID card access system. Therefore, the biometric lock is a similar upgrade to what we currently have and hence according to me, would be redundant. Based on my considerations as mentioned earlier, I would like to request the hostel management to invest in the night vision HD Cameras. Regards Tony
