Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
You live in a small city. City administration is planning to allocate funds for two possible projects.
Your City is funding ONE of the given projects :
Option A: Option A: Bike Lanes: Planning to build new separate lanes for bikers
Option B: Renovate gym: Planning to add a swimming pool and spa centre in existing gym
To whom it may concern. I would agree with option A that it will be helpful in the reduction of road accidents and ease of travelling. Firstly, these days with the expansion of roads to deal with traffic issues, bikers have no space to ride on roads that cause significant trouble. With the availability of numerous vehicles, people primarily rely on them for commuting, resulting in eliminating bike lanes. In Asia, most countries have separate lanes to encourage two-wheelers and affordable to own them. As well as, road accidents would eventually decrease. For instance, in Toronto downtown, each street consists of separate lanes for bikers, helping them commute as soon as possible without relying on public transport or private vehicles. In contrast, most delivery persons do not need to collide with other vehicles while driving, which is a significant benefit to their job. In conclusion, the separation of roadways has more benefits in eliminating road fatalities and easy commute. Regards, Mike
