Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions

Read the following information.

You live in a small town of 10,000 people. A large green area in the centre of town is undeveloped. The city has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents would like to have built-in that area

City Development Survey :

Option A: Shopping Complex: This shopping mall would include restaurants, a large supermarket, and a movie theatre.
Option B: Recreational Park: This park would include a sports complex, a large green area, and a small petting zoo.

I think a shopping complex would be more beneficial to the people of the town. Although it is also good to build a recreational park which is accessible to the people of the town but, there is a recreational park to our neighbouring town which is only twenty minutes drive to our town. The first point is that we only have a small plaza in our town. I think it would be great to have a large supermarket and a big shopping mall so that we don't drive all the way to Yorkdale shopping centre for an hour and a half for shopping and going to the theatre. Secondly, this will promote an increase in demand and supply to the town which will improve our tourism. Since more people will be coming to our place. Anyway, as one living in the town, I will support any decision you will make for the benefits of everyone. Thank you for having the opportunity to participate in this survey.
