Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
Hostel management has decided to upgrade the security in and around the campus. The management has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents would like to have as new security measure.
You are residing in a College hostel :
Option A: New HD Night Vision Cameras covering the area around the hostel.
Option B: Installing biometric locks on the doors.
To whom it may concern, I think the new HD Night Vision Cameras would be a great choice. Even though the hostel needs biometric locks, new HD night vision cameras would offer more practical benefits to the students. The first problem and the current situation is that most of the existing cameras around the hostel is damaged. I remember that there have been several cases when someone stole the student's belongings from the hostel room, and there was no footage recorded because cameras were not working. The second reason is that our hostel is in the north campus zone, where the strength of the drug peddlers are more. They usually try to target the hostel boys and girls to make them addicted to drugs. I had experienced one of the incidents when one of the peddlers entered illegally into the hostel to supply the drugs to the hostel boys and girls. Unfortunately, the hostel authority was unable to trace them because of the damaged cameras. Considering these reasons, I think the new HD night vision cameras would be a great choice.
