Writing Task 1: Writing an Email

Read the following information.

You recently made an online purchase and the product was not the same as the description on the website.

Write an email to the website support department in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:

  • What you purchased and when.
  • Exactly how it is different from the website description.
  • How you would like the company to fix the problem.

Dear Client Support Manager, I purchased a cellphone charger last Friday, on May 08th, through your online platform and yesterday, when I unboxed it, I noticed that the product does not match the website description. According to the advertisement, the device was compatible with my Samsung Galaxy S7. But I tried to plug my cellphone on it, and it doesn't fit. I noticed that the plug shape doesn't match the cellphone's input shape. Plus, the product description says this charger model is available in colours pink, black and white. And the one I received is red. Indeed, the product I received isn't the one I believe I was buying online. This experience brought me a feeling of frustration, and I would very much appreciate it if you could refund the total amount paid for it since I am not interested in this device anymore. Please, I kindly ask you to correct it's characteristics on the website as soon as possible, to avoid another person to be disappointed like me. Sincerely Felix
