Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
A local NGO working for the betterment of school-going kids, especially focusing on reducing the stress level in the new generation has sent out an opinion survey to see what people think about the presence of multimedia gadgets in house.
NGO conducting a survey:
Option A: Kids should have no access to gadgets like smartphones or iPad etc..
Option B: Kids should be encouraged to read books in their free time.
To Whom it may concern. In my opinion, parents should encourage children to read books in their spare time. I think this a far better choice than giving no access to the multimedia gadgets. I choose to encourage children to read books because the books are the best source of knowledge. The children who read books in spare time always have a sharp and focused mind. When grown-up, they are the ones who attain high standards in their lives. Every successful person in this world, Madam Mary Curie, Barak Obama or Elon Musk, emphasizes reading more and more books to learn new things. There is another reason for my interest in encouraging the kids rather than preventing them from having no multimedia gadgets. The gadgets like iPads, Kindle etc. provide such features that we can download and read eBooks on the go. This will not only save them time and money, but also will be eco-friendly. The smart devices if used under proper guidance, would be much beneficial. Hence, based on the above reasons, I would like children to read books whenever they have some time out of their daily routine. Regards Tony.
