Writing Task 1: Writing an Email

Read the following information.

You recently made an online purchase and the product was not the same as the description on the website.

Write an email to the website support department in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:

    What you purchased and when.
  • Exactly how it is different to the website description.
  • How you would like the company to fix the problem.

Dear Sir/Madam, This is regarding the recent purchase I made on your website last week. I bought a 2-litre water bottle from the company 'Swell'. The description on the website said that the water bottle comes with a cork lid on it but when I received the shipment, I did not find any lid in the package. The site also mentioned that the water bottle is made of glass and Eco-friendly. However, I am disappointed to say that the water bottle I received was a plastic one. What I feel is the description of the product given on your website is not providing proper information or should I say its totally misleading. It will be helpful for me and the other users if you could correct the specifications of the product on your platform. I also submitted a request on your customer service portal asking for a free return label and refund. Please consider the request and grant me a refund as early as possible. Thanks, Ala
